New details have been revealed in regards to the recently-launched 1.03 patch for “GTA Online.” According to a report Gamepur on Oct. 9, the title update was released earlier today for the Playstation 3 console through the Playstation Network service.
The 1.03 patch addresses the character deletion and lost progress issues that several players are experiencing. The character you created could previously be deleted in multiple ways, including simply using the retry button to while trying to reconnect to the cloud server. Furthermore, your progress may not have been saved properly if you exit “GTA Online” without first going back to the single-player campaign of “GTA 5.”
In addition to the official comments from Rockstar Games, a fan also discovered that the 1.03 disables mission restarts using the R2 buttons. Players were using the quick restart method to rapidly build up cash and reputation points by replaying the same high-paying missions over and over again.
The 1.03 patch for “GTA Online” has a file size of around 30 MB on the Playstation 3. The same title update will also be released for the Xbox 360 system sometime later today. The first patch for “GTA 5” enabled the multiplayer mode while the second one fixes several connection issues.
The fifth main “Grand Theft Auto” installment was released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in most regions, including North America, on Sept. 17.
