‘GTA 5’ sales could be negatively impacted by the PS4 and Xbox 720 (Photos)

Michael Pachter has provided a few more comments in regards to the impact the PS4 and Xbox 720 would have on the sales of the upcoming multiplatform title, “GTA 5.” According to the Pach-Attack episode from Game Trailers on March 2, the analyst at Wedbush Securities believed that the sales for the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto” game would be hurt by the launches of the next-generation systems. This is because the two consoles won’t support the backward compatibility feature, which will hinder the amount of units sold for the current-generation video game over the next couple of years. The PS4 and Xbox 720 will be released by Sony and Microsoft in the North American region sometime during the holiday season.

“GTA 5” is slated to come out for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles in the same region on Sept. 17. There have been some rumors that suggest that the sequel would also be ported to the PS4 and Xbox 720. You can pre-order the game in the following link: “GTA 5”
