According to a report today from VG 24/7, Grand Theft Auto 5 developer Rockstar Games will be dropping “a cool half a million GTA$” into the GTA Online back accounts of all the gamers playing the multiplayer as early as next week.
The move comes as somewhat of a mea culpa from Rockstar after gamers experienced issues with GTA Online ranging from characters getting deleted to missions automatically failing from the start.
Specific dates for the in-game cash deposit haven’t been announced, but payments will be made in two increments of $250,000 apiece.
“For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet,” Rockstar said.
However, to receive the $500,000 in GTA$, all eligible gamers must have played GTA Online during the month of October. You can read more of the details about the in-game giveaway at Rockstar’s website.
Rockstar and Take-Two might also be depositing a little more real-life cash into the bank accounts of rapper Daz Dillinger, who is saying GTA 5 uses two of his songs without permission.
