Rockstar Games, the publisher of “GTA 5” has responded to several complaints in regards to the lost multiplayer character, items, money and progress during the launch period of “Grand Theft Auto Online.” A spokesperson from the company confirmed through Rockstar Support on Oct. 4, that the some players have reported on the missing contents while playing in the recently-launched “GTA 5” mode.

He stated that Rockstar North understands the frustrating of losing progress, promising to identify and fix the root of the issue. The development team will also look for a way for players to restore the lost multiplayer character, items, money and progress. Several screenshots featuring “GTA 5” and “Grand Theft Auto Online” can be found in the slideshow near the top of this article while the full statement from the company is located below (courtesy of Rockstar Support):

We have received reports from some players who experienced losing characters, progress, items, and/or in-game cash during the first few days after release. We understand how frustrating it is to lose gameplay progress and are working diligently to identify and correct the causes for these losses, as well as to establish how best to restore any lost progress and value.

Rockstar Games recently released the 1.02 patch for “GTA 5” on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Although the title update fixes several connection problems along with glitches that prevent progress from being made, it did not address the lost contents bug in “Grand Theft Auto Online.”

The multiplayer mode of “GTA 5” was activated with the 1.01 patch, which came out on Oct. 1 for the two current-generation consoles. Players can partake in a variety of activities in “Grand Theft Auto Online.”
