A compensation plan has been revealed by Rockstar Games in regards to the multiplayer mode of the recently-released Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 title, “GTA 5.” According to a report by Rockstar Newswire on Oct. 11, the publisher will be offering a “special stimulus package.”
The compensation features payments that up to $500,000 of in-game currency for “Grand Theft Auto Online.” To be eligible for the package, players must connect to the multiplayer mode at some point before the end of this month. They will also need to download the 1.04 patch for “GTA 5,” which will enable the feature, on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
The “special stimulus package” comes in two installments, both of which will automatically be deposited into the player’s back account. The user does not have to take any other steps to acquire the compensation.
The multiplayer mode was officially opened on Oct. 1 for “GTA 5.” Despite several patches, players are still experiencing connection errors along with deleted characters and loss progress. Rockstar Games decided to compensate players for the troubles that plagued the launch of “Grand Theft Auto Online.”
Rockstar Games published and released “GTA 5” on Sept. 17 in North America. The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 open-world action-adventure video game accumulated $1 billion in revenue is just three days after launching.
