'GTA 5' publisher purchases Turtle Rock's 'Evolve' upon THQ's downfall

Since THQ has fallen, we are now receiving information about the various intellectual properties that are being auctioned off from the company. On Jan. 23, it was revealed that a game called “Evolve” was surprisingly auctioned off for a total of $11 million to the publisher of “GTA 5,” which is Take-Two.

Although very little is known about this title, it is noteworthy to reveal that this game is being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, the original developer for “Left 4 Dead.” The second place bidder for this intellectual property was Turtle Rock themselves, who offered a total of $250,000. Obviously, this was outdone by the incredible offer from Take-Two.

THQ suspected that this title would saled a total of 4 million copies. In return, the company stated that this intellectual property would generate a total of $40 million in profits. Taking these numbers, it is expected that this title will be placed among the big hitters once it is initially released.
