A representative for Rockstar Games has provided several new tips in regards to preventing parked cars from being lost in the “Grand Theft Auto Online” mode of “GTA 5.” According to an exchange from Twitter of Oct. 14, a fan revealed that his vehicles kept disappearing after parking in the garage.
The Rockstar Games representative responded by saying that the player should make sure that “GTA 5” is saving properly when the cars are parked. He also suggested that the fan should exit from the multiplayer mode to the single-player campaign in order to force a save. You can check out a batch of screenshots from the open-world action-adventure video game in the slideshow near the top of this article and the statement from the official Rockstar Support Twitter page below:
Are you making sure that the game saves after you park them? Try pausing and going back to Story Mode to force saves.
A patch addressing the missing progress issues in “Grand Theft Auto Online” was released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions last week. However, not all of the problems, including the lost parked cars, were resolved. Rockstar Games previously confirmed that another title update will be made available sometime this week.
Unfortunately for players, the missing vehicles and other progress could not be restored. Instead, Rockstar Games will be offering $500,000 of in-game cash as compensation to all players that accessed the “Grand Theft Auto Online” mode of “GTA 5” during the month of October.
