‘GTA 5’ publisher comments on the exact launch time of ‘Grand Theft Auto Online’ (Photos)

A statement has been issued by Rockstar Games in regards to the exact launch time of the “Grand Theft Auto Online” mode from the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 video game, “GTA 5.” According to a post from the comments section of the Rockstar Newswire website on Sept. 25, a representative from the company stated that they can not currently confirm when exactly the online multiplayer segment of the open-world action-adventure video game will be made available on its launch date.

He also can’t answer any other specific regarding “Grand Theft Auto Online.” However, Rockstar Games did promised that they will be revealing more details by next Tuesday. In the meantime, we know there are lots of other specific questions – we can’t yet confirm precisely what time on October 1st it will go live or any other specific details, but please stay tuned as we’ll have more information to provide before launch.

“Grand Theft Auto Online” is scheduled to be made available sometime on Oct. 1. Rockstar Games previously stated that the online multiplayer mode will be free for customers who already bought a copy of “GTA 5.” It can be accessed from the character selection screen during the single-player campaign mode.

“GTA 5,” which was published and distributed by the aforesaid Rockstar Games, was made available on Sept. 17 in North America for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 current-generation consoles. You can order the product from Amazon in the following link: “GTA 5”
