Michael Denny has commented on several subjects surrounding "GTA 5" on PS4. According to a report from VG247 on Aug. 14, the vice president at Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Europe explained why the next-generation port of the latest "Grand Theft Auto" installment was not present during a press conference held by the console manufacturer at Gamescom. He revealed that his company simply had nothing new to add from the initial announcement.
Michael Denny reassured fans that the lack of updates does not mean that the open-world action-adventure title has been delayed on the PS4. He promised that the video game is still coming to the next-generation system and will end up being "fantastic." Unfortunately, no release date has been provided.
Sony Computer Entertainment was the first to confirmed that "GTA 5" would be released on other platforms aside from the PS3 and Xbox 360. The announcement for the PS4 version was made during the company's big E3 2014 press conference that took place in June of this year with an accompanying trailer. The PC and Xbox One ports were announced with less fanfare shortly afterwards.
Sony revealed at E3 that all games shown during the aforesaid media briefing will feature some sort of exclusivity. However, the company did not disclose what the plans are for in regards to the PS4 version of "GTA 5." For the PS3 game, Sony announced an exclusive headset and system bundle along with having exclusive rights to advertise the video game for the current-generation console for a limited amount of time.
"GTA 5" on PS4, Xbox One and PC won't be a simple port as Rockstar North is planning to add some features. The debut trailer provided a look at the new improved textures, 1080p resolution, better foliage along with more abundant cars and animals. A screen featuring the announcements of the new ports is located near the top of the article (via the official Twitter from Rockstar Games).
