The PC and Steam version of “Grand Theft Auto 5” may have gotten another release date. According to a report from Gamerspective on March 6, Simply CD Keys stated that the digital release of “GTA 5” on personal computers is expected to be made available for purchase on Sept. 19.
The launch date for the open-world title is scheduled to take place on a Friday, which is when most new software products are usually released for many European countries. In North America, a majority of new video games are released on a Tuesday.
After purchasing the CD key for “GTA 5” on PC from the shopping website, customers can then redeem the code on the Steam service in order to download the digital computer version at launch. The listed date provided by the retailer suggested that Rockstar Games may be planning to release the port one year after the launches of the PS3 and Xbox 360 iterations.
“GTA 5” came out on Sept. 17, 2013, for the two current-generation consoles that were manufactured by Microsoft Studios and Sony Computer Entertainment. Despite many requests from fans, the publisher of the software product has still not yet announced any plans to port the title to other platforms such as the PS4,Xbox One and the aforesaid PC.
Rockstar Games may be more focused towards adding new contents for “GTA 5” on the PS3 and Xbox 360 with major DLC releases being planned for 2014. You can find a few screens from the current-generation iteration of the fifth main “Grand Theft Auto” title in the slideshow to the left of this article.
