The folks at Rockstar Games have been busy today with the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online and maintaining its servers – full details on GTA Online server issues can be found here. Along with the release of GTA Online, Rockstar also released a patch for Grand Theft Auto V which, not only activated Grand Theft Auto Online, but also fixed and addressed a number of issues found in the Story Mode of the main game.
According to Rockstar, the newly released patch for GTA 5 fixes many of the issues people have encountered in Story Mode. Saved vehicles will no longer go missing or lose their upgrades and the Atomic Blimp will appear as a phone contact for Collector’s Edition owners.
The full list of Grand Theft Auto 5 fixes are the following:
- Fix for interface issues when using Internet on the cell phone after completing the game, or during a mission replay
- Fix for the Vanilla Unicorn occasionally becoming locked
- Fix for issues where the character’s money could drop below zero and become stuck there
- Fix for the Epsilon Program missions not progressing properly after delivering some cars
- Fix for issue where the Atomic Blimp sometimes does not appear as a phone contact for Collector’s Edition owners
- Fix for issues with saved vehicles going missing, or losing their upgrades
- Fixes for several map escape and collision issues along with other various bug fixes
Rockstar Games and Take-Two released Grand Theft Auto 5 for PS3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 17. The title has since gone on to sell over 16 million copies worldwide and earned an astounding $1 billion in revenue – full story can be found here.
