Rockstar Games revealed details Monday about the character creation system in Grand Theft Auto V's multiplayer mode, Grand Theft Auto Online, including a "heriditary-based" system that lets you choose Red Dead Redemption's John Marston as your pappy.
You will be asked to create a character the first time you jump into Grand Theft Auto Online. This starts by choosing your character's gender before moving on to deciding on who is the character's mother and father. You can choose which side is more genetically dominant or you can make them evenly matched. From there, lifestyle variables such as sleep, partying and proclivity towards illegal activities will determine how your character looks.
You'll be able to preview your character throughout the creation process and go back if the results are not to you're liking.
So how does Marston fit in with all of this? Those that have joined the Rockstar Social Club will unlock various items including Marston as a parenting option. Other unlocks confirmed so far include the Sawed-Off Shotgun and Annis Elegy RH8.
