As promised by Rocktar Games Thursday, a patch was released for GTA V's multiplayer component, Grand Theft Auto Online. However, that patch has only been deployed to the Playstation 3 at this point with Rockstar saying it hopes to have it on the Xbox 360 "as soon as possible."
Since the 1.02 patch was released to the PS3, users in Rockstar's support community forums, NeoGAF and elsewhere have reported improvements with the ability to connect to GTA Online matches.
A large part of the connectivity problems on the PS3 reportedly have to do with the Playstation Network servers limiting the number of concurrent GTA Online users. That's been fixed with this patch but full patch notes have yet to be released at the time of this article.
However, the tutorial mission has reportedly been updated so that users play it by themselves to keep them from going through the lengthy process of waiting for others to join and the mission to load. Issues with GTA Online deleting multiplayer characters also appear to be solved so far since the patch was released.
