According to a report today from VG 24/7, Grand Theft Auto 5’s online multiplayer mode GTA Online doubled the amount of players in one game at one time from 16 to 32.
Hackers found in the base code of the Rockstar Games juggernaut files indicating that the online version of GTA 5 will be limited to 32 players only.
The information comes from the same data leak, originally reported by Cinemablend, supposedly pointing toward files that indicated Rockstar had at least considered bringing GTA 5 to the PC or the PlayStation 4. You can read the full report from Examiner here.
Also according to the report, GTA Online gamers will be able to play in a free roam mode, free-for-all death matches, team-based death matches, races, and Cops n Crooks mode.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is out right now for the PS3 and the Xbox 360, though no Xbox One or PS4 versions have been announced yet.
GTA Online activates on Oct. 1.
