‘GTA 5’ impact on ‘Grid 2’ sales discussed by producer (Photos)

Vincent Muelle has talked a little bit about the potential impact “GTA 5” would have on the upcoming multiplatform title, “Grid 2.” According to a report by Video Gamer on Feb. 14, the producer at Codemasters believed that is was somewhat of a “positive” that the latest video game from the “Grand Theft Auto” series was delayed from its initial spring release period. However, he also mentioned that the two titles are so different that they were “not especially worried” if both games were released close together. You can check out some screens from “GTA 5” in the slideshow at the top of this article and the comments from Vincent Muelle below (courtesy of Video Gamer):

GTA and GRID are two different types of game and if you look at GRID 1, it actually came out the same week as GTA IV and it did really well. So that's why we were not especially worried at the time that GTA was coming in the same month, due to the performance of GRID 1.

Grid 2,” which was developed and published by Codemasters, is slated to come out for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms in North America on May 28. The delayed “GTA 5” will now be coming out for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in the same region on Sept. 17. You can pre-order both products in the following link: “Grid 2” and “GTA 5”
