The collector’s edition of the recently-released multiplatform video game, “GTA 5,” is selling at high prices on auction sites like eBay. According to several listings from the aforementioned bidding website, the product is nearly selling at double the amount of the official price tag.
The collector’s edition of “GTA 5” was sold for as high as $295.00 on the Xbox 360 in auctions with multiple bids. The demand on the Playstation 3 version of the same product is a little lower as the highest bid topped out at $285.00.
The “GTA 5” collector’s edition feature a collectible steel book case with exclusive artwork, security deposit bag with logo key, New Era “9FIFTY” snapback cap, numerous in-game extras in addition to a copy of the latest “Grand Theft Auto” installment. The entire package has an official price tag of $149.99.
The bundle was previously available at GameStop and Rockstar Warehouse. However, it has sold out at both retailers, causing a spike in demand and price for the collector’s edition of the recently-released video game.
