The first details may have been leaked for the cash card DLC for the “Grand Theft Auto Online” mode of the multiplatform video game, “GTA 5.” According to a report by The Sixth Axis on Sept. 23, a XML file found on the server from Rockstar Games revealed that players will be able to purchase various cash cards.
The unique downloadable content will let you convert real money into the in-game currency for use in the “Grand Theft Auto Online.” After downloading the cash card DLC, the in-game cash would be added to the back account of your character. You can check out several screenshots from the single-player campaign of “GTA 5” in the slideshow near the top of this article and the full description of the DLC below (courtesy of The Sixth Axis):
Cash is king in this town. Solve your money problems and help get what you want across Los Santos and Blaine County with the purchase of cash packs for Grand Theft Auto Online. All purchased cash is automatically deposited into your character’s bank account. Spend wisely, cash therapy is fleeting.
Players will be able to purchase the cash cards in the following increments: $100k, $200k, $500k and $1.25 million. The prices needed to download and activate DLC were not revealed.
Although “Grand Theft Auto Online” is included in “GTA 5,” players won’t be able to access the online multiplayer segment until Oct. 1. The mode is free and won’t require a special code in order to be activated. Rockstar Games, the company that was responsible for publishing and distributing the recently-released video game, has not officially announced their DLC plans for the video game.
