‘GTA 5’ and ‘The Last of Us’ compared to other fan favorite games

Amazon has revealed the poll results for the most favorite video games that were released in 2013. According to a report from Segment Next on Jan. 8, the online retailer disclosed that “The Last of Us” was easily the most popular title of last year as voted on by the community. The action-adventure survival-horror title accumulated nearly half of the total votes.

GTA 5” came at a distant second despite being the fastest selling video game in history. The rest of the list are made up of highly-rated titles such as “BioShock: Infinite” and “Super Mario 3D World.” Despite the launch issues, “Battlefield 4” was able to sneak into the top ten while “Call of Duty: Ghosts” was nowhere to be seen. “The Last of Us” came out on June 14th of last year for the Playstation 3. “GTA 5,” which was delayed for a significant amount of time, did not arrive until Sept. 17th for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The two video games have been winning a majority of the “Game of the Year” awards being handed out by publications.
