The developers behind “GTA 5” and “Minecraft” have signed on the develop games for the PS4. According to reports by the Joystiq and the NeoGAF forum on Feb. 20, Mojang was listed as one of the third-party European developers for the next-generation system. The logo of Rockstar Games also appeared on a slide containing a list of committed companies during the unveiling of Sony’s new console. Mojang is responsible for developing and publishing “Minecraft.” Although the open-world sandbox video game came out for multiple systems, it wasn’t released for the PS3. With the PS4 PC-like architecture, Mojang could port “Minecraft” to the next-generation system.
“GTA 5” is currently being developed by the Rockstar North studio with Rockstar Games being responsible for the publishing parts of the release.
