MTV’s hit TV show “Teen Wolf” made a big splash at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, but a famous feline made an even bigger one. When Tyler Hoechlin, who plays werewolf Derek Hale in “Teen Wolf,” mixed it up Grumpy Cat, it was a match made in heaven. All of Hollywood's A-listers hit the red carpet on April 13, but the one that stole the spotlight was Grumpy Cat, who donned the hat made famous by Pharrell Williams at this year’s Grammy Awards.
Coupled with her famous scowl, the look was a hit. On April 13, the Huffington Post named Grumpy Cat its best-dressed feline at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. People Magazine called Grumpy Cat’s red carpet look, “Cat in a phat.”
Not only is the entire country enamored with Grumpy Cat, but so is Tyler Hoechlin from MTV’s hit TV series, “Teen Wolf.” He, along with co-stars Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, and Ian Bohan, all walked the red carpet on April 13 before the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. The fourth season of “Teen Wolf” premieres on Monday, June 23 on MTV. It made its debut on June 5, 2011, following the MTV Movie Awards three years ago. In three seasons, “Teen Wolf” has won four Teen Choice and two Saturn Awards.
On Sunday night, fans were excited to see the male stars of “Teen Wolf” walk the red carpet. After posing for photographers, Tyler Hoechlin made a beeline for Grumpy Cat and posted the photo on Instagram with the following caption…
It’s been a long time coming. And now it’s finally happened. #TheUniting, at least with @realgrumpycat. Thank you @coltonhaynes for uniting us for life.
Colton Haynes also starred in “Teen Wolf” and played the character of Jackson Whittemore. He left the hit show in 2012, but quickly landed the role of Roy Harper on CW’s “Arrow.”
Grumpy Cat was undoubtedly a huge star at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. However, as posted by TV By the Numbers on April 13, the big winners included “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” (Best Picture), Jennifer Lawrence (Best Female Performance), Josh Hutcherson (Best Male Performance), Will Poulter (Best Breakthrough Performance), Jonah Hill (Best Comedic Performance), Mila Kunis (Best Villain), and Henry Cavill (Best Hero).
