According to Wednesday's WVNS TV News, authorities in Hinton, W. Va., believe that a woman's Facebook account was hacked after receiving reports that a grisly photo of a dead dog had been posted to the page.

The photos on the woman's page are of a black dog who has been decapitated - the dog is stretched across train tracks and it appears that a train has run the dog over. Comments with the photos implied that the woman had killed the dog.

Hinton police were alerted to the issue on Tuesday evening.

Many Facebook users who viewed the graphic photos believed that the page owner was truly responsible for killing the dog - however, as of Wednesday afternoon, the photos had been removed and there is a post which states:

ha im in jail and still on here

Chief Snavely of the Hinton Police Department has indicated that there is evidence that the woman's Facebook page was indeed hacked by someone - an investigation is underway.
