Early February marks the annual pilgrimage of LA-based children's entertainment executives to the New York Hilton for Kidscreen Summit, the premiere conference celebrating both animated and live-action fare for youth. If you are among the masses soon to be en route to the festivities, heed this advice: plan your party schedule now. The corresponding clambakes are fast and furious in the city that doesn't sleep. Monday, February 4, 7 p.m. - A Kidscreen badge will grant access to the official Kidscreen Liftoff Party at Little Airplane Productions on the South Street Seaport.
Tuesday, February 5, 6 p.m. - Rumors have spread that the Quebec Government Office will host an invitation-only soiree, but the LA Animation Examiner denies any knowledge of same, unless she is spotted at the event.
Wednesday, February, 6, 5 p.m. - Official Kidscreen Delegates will be welcome at the Kidscreen Gala, including the Kidscreen Awards and After Party at the Hilton Hotel.
Thursday, February 7, 6:30 p.m. - Children's Media Association will host a networking night at the Oldcastle Pub and Restaurant. Toss your badge aside and party hearty! Confab credentials are not necessary.
Friday, February 8, 6 p.m. - Women in Animation and Toon Boom will buy the first round of wine inside the Hilton's Bridges Bar. Bring a business card for entry into this veritable schmooze fest which closes the week.
