Growing resentment in the WWE locker room toward The Rock

Despite the success that the WWE receives when Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson appears on RAW or a PPV, there are many wrestlers within the locker room who are starting to resent The Rock for not being there on a consistent basis especially during the buildup to WrestleMania 29. According to a March 13 report by PWInsider.com, The Rock's peers are upset over Johnson missing two of the last four RAW's leading up to WrestleMania 29 on Sunday, April 7.

The Rock missed the March 11 episode of RAW due to his responsibilities for his new film GI Joe 2. The Rock was in Korea promoting the film and hitting the "red carpet" for the world premiere of the movie. To make things even more complicated, John Cena didn't even appear on Monday's RAW.

This isn't the first time the WWE locker room has grown frustrated with The Rock. Two years ago when The Rock came back, there were many outspoken superstars who were upset over The Rock's huge role in the company despite being gone for so long. Many felt that he was taking away from the full-time wrestlers who have worked hard to keep the company going while he left for Hollywood.

Additionally, the same WWE locker room was upset that the face of the franchise John Cena lost to The Rock at last year's WrestleMania as they thought that The Rock should have "put over" Cena since John has carried the company since The Rock left. If Cena loses at this year's Mania, there will be a huge uproar in the locker room and a possible backlash toward The Rock.
