Growing Mpowerd Incorporated does good by doing well

New York City is the headquarters for Mpowerd Inc. founded in 2012 with a vision to “eradicate Energy Poverty through Solar Justice”. Mpowerd is a fast growing consumer products company, which does good by doing well. They develop and manufacture brilliant, transformative clean energy products and solutions to light up and empower lives. They are able to measure their success in terms of both financial performance and social impact.

Mpowerd has made an impact on Haiti and the rest of the developing world where more than 1.5 billion people live in Energy Poverty without access to clean, bright, reliable light. The company has sales representation throughout the United States and numerous international markets.

In late 2012 the birth of its inflatable solar powered lantern called Luci created a stir. Luci is easy-to-use, maintenance-free and waterproof too! While it is ideal for those living, working and playing off-grid anywhere in the world it is also an energy savings alternative to batteries, candles and kerosene including emergency relief, home décor and creative lighting for outdoor activities.

Luci weighs four ounces and with eight hours of full charge time yields 12 hours of light. Its elegant styling is collapsible and serves as a task light too.

During its first year alone, Mpowerd’s Luci had a positive, illuminating impact on the lives of close to a million people in more than 60 countries worldwide as an affordable, stylish, no-emission alternative to dirty, dangerous and expensive fuel and battery-based lighting.

This year at International CES Luci Aura, Mpowerd’s inflatable color-changing solar lantern was launched. Aura has four colored light settings and can either cycle through those colors or settles on one, adding more mood setting possibilities!
