RGH Entertainment has won the prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award for its production of “Grover Safari Road Safety,” an animated PSA created for Sesame Workshop, United Nations, Red Cross and Formula One in support of the United Nation’s Decade of Action for Road Safety; it was announced by RGH Entertainment CEO Randa Ayoubi.
Previous CINE Golden Eagle Award winners include Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Mike Nichols, Martin Scorcese, Mira Nair, and Ken Burns. Established in 1957, CINE recognizes excellence for both established and emerging film and video talent.
“Grover Safari Road Safety” was awarded the CINE Golden Award for the fall 2011 competition, one of two competitions conducted by CINE each year. Winners of the CINE competitions are chosen through a rigorous, tiered jury system, based on criteria reflecting storytelling, production value, artistry, purpose, and overall excellence.

The nonverbal “Grover Safari Road Safety” PSA features an animated Grover demonstrating safe street crossing and then giving a thumbs up—the universally used symbol by pilots, astronauts, race-car drivers and other highly-skilled professionals to denote readiness, preparedness, and “all-systems go.” Sesame Workshop appointed Grover as the Road Safety Ambassador as part of the United Nations Decade of Action on Road Safety.
Distributed to broadcasters in the United States, Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, the PSAs were executive produced by Randa Ayoubi and David Corbett, RGH Entertainment Executive Director - North America & Europe.
