We've been seeing less snow, feeling a bit more warmth and the sun has been making more frequent appearances. Could it be? Might it be? It just might be that winter has officially ended and spring is kicking into full gear. Let's go with that idea, even if we do see another few snow flurries.
Either way, craft beer drinkers are ready to start heading out to patios and festivals. The first one on deck is the Grove City Lions Spring Craft Beer Festival. This will be the second year for this beer fest, with last year's being a complete success. This year's event will likely be another hit with craft beer connoisseurs who are ready to get their drink on and experience different types of brews from all over the world.
The Grove City Lions Spring Craft Beer Fest will take place on April 26th from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Beulah Park Grandstands. Hopeful attendees can buy tickets in advance for $35 or purchase them at the door for $40. Responsible craft beer lovers will want to bring a designated driver, who can purchase a ticket for $5. However, if you are elected DD for this event, don't worry. You won't be standing around with a lustful look wishing you had a beer in your hand (well, you might, but you'll be handsomely compensated). Designated drivers will enjoy bottomless sodas, a food voucher and a complimentary sampling cup...that you can fill with soda.
One of the perks at this year's festival will be the addition of food trucks, which are becoming a staple of any successful event here in Columbus. Before you work up an appetite, you will be given 20 tasting tickets and a souvenir glass to commemorate this spring event that benefits Pilot Dogs, Inc. and the Grove City Lions' Sight Care Program. And of course there is also the benefit of enjoying samples of more than 150 beers from around the world.
So get out your sandals and Bermuda shorts and get your ticket to the Grove City Lions Spring Craft Beer Fest. If you're looking for a ticket buying shortcut, click here and buy away!
Happy spring beer drinkers!
