A Collaboration of Photographers, an informal gathering of photographers interested in helping other photographers grow technically and conceptually, meets the second Monday of the month. Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts, 304 Highway 105, Palmer Lake.

The Colorado Photography Learning Group offers instruction in photography and Photoshop, along with field trips and other opportunities. Membership is free, but most classes and seminars are fee-based.

Colorado Springs Art Guild meets 7-8:30 p.m. the last Tuesday of each month at the Rockrimmon Branch Library, 832 Village Center Drive, near the Safeway at the corner of Rockrimmon and Vindicator. For more information, see the site.

Colorado Springs Creative Association hosts networking events, share and critique days and guest speakers.

The Colorado Springs Creative Photography group offers meetings, networking, photo outings and more for photographers of all skill levels.

The Colorado Springs Photographers Group is a free forum for exchanging ideas and information. Activities include contests, field trips and informative meetings.

  • Tuesday Tarts: meets 6-8 p.m. first Tuesdays at the Heart and Hand bead shop, 251 Front St. in Monument.
  • Discovery: meets 10 a.m.-3 p.m. third Thursdays at the Rockrimmon Library, 832 Village Center Drive. The group has a technique demo in the morning and hands-on in the afternoon, but no one has to stay the whole day. This group also takes occasional field trips to see art and fiber-related shows.
  • Self Expressions: meets 6:30-8:30 p.m. third Wednesdays, Heart and Hand bead shop, 251 Front St. in Monument. For artists who want to challenge themselves with suggested topics for exploration each month.
  • Artists Trading Cards: meets 9:30-10:30 a.m. second Saturdays, Heart and Hand bead shop, 251 Front St. in Monument. Fiber-based cards, 2.5 by 3.5 inches, with a theme every other month.

Glass Artists of the Pikes Peak Region meets 7-9 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month, every other month. Full Spectrum Art Glass, 828-A E. Fillmore St.

The Independent Film Society of Colorado hosts screenings, discussions, festivals and seminars.

Mixed Media Inspiration welcomes anyone who loves to create and exchange ideas with others.

Palmer Lake Art Group holds general meetings at the Vaile Hill Gallery, 118 Hillside Road, Palmer Lake, on the second Saturday of every month except July.
