From Thursday, January 24th through Wednesday, January 30th, the Anti-Cruelty Society (ACS) will be featured as Groupon’s Grassroots Charity. They are so excited because Groupon has such a large audience! In just the first day, ACS received over 700 donations!
Groupon is a great medium to educate the public about the programs and services that they have developed over the past 114 years (well, soon-to-be 114 years). They also utilize a large amount of the donations that they receive annually to further develop those programs and services so the donations that they are receiving will certainly help a lot! Just think what the 700 donations can do if it was estimated that 58 donations of $10 each is able to feed 100 dogs as well as 100 cats each for one whole week. If you decide to donate, no need to fear because 100% of all donations will go directly to the animals in the care of The Anti-Cruelty Society.
When you go to the Groupon link for ACS, http://www.groupon.com/deals/the-anti-cruelty-society, and apply your donation, they will be automatically applied but you will have to provide some much needed data like your full name when you get to the checkout. There are also Grassroots FAQs that apply to this campaign that you will want to check out on the website as well.
For those individuals that have already donated, The Anti-Cruelty Society would like to take an opportunity to thank you. Please provide your contact information here so that they can contact you.
Signing up for Groupon is very easy to do. If you are currently a member, it is easy to donate to ACS.
The Anti-Cruelty Society has an open door policy; one in which they will not turn away any animals that need some extra help. Besides that, ACS does not have a time limit for how long an animal can receive loving care for them. Absolutely no rehabilitated or healthy pets will ever be euthanized while in ACS care unless a pet’s quality of life is severely compromised and it is the only humane alternative. Sterilization is the key to pet overpopulation; thus they promote spaying and neutering. ACS believes in educating the public believing that knowledge can prevent animal cruelty, abuse and neglect; possibly even promoting responsible pet ownership.
Groupon has given fans of The Anti-Cruelty Society an edge. Those fans will be able to donate much easier and support a fantastic animal rescue organization that has been a large part of Chicago for practically 114 years. Go online to check it out.
