A groom called in a bomb threat at his own wedding as a cover for a huge mistake that he made. On Oct. 22 it was reported that the groom forgot to book the venue for his upcoming wedding. Just before the big day the groom realized his mistake and instead of coming clean to his bride, he decided to phone in a fake bomb threat. While that solution worked -- the couple didn't get married at their London area venue -- it created a new problem.
Neil McArdle, 36, has been sentenced to prison after his phony call to police. Some would say that his bride-to-be, Amy Williams, got a blessing in disguise but (wait for it) she has decided to stand by her man. If he had such a forgiving woman in his life, he should have just trusted that she would understand his initial mistake.
Evidently Neil and Amy are still planning to get married... but they have a year before Neil gets out of prison. Perhaps that will be enough time for Amy to work out all of the wedding details.
