2010 is a great year in terms of grocery-related contests,grants and promotions. Trips to Mexico and Vegas, Grills with tons of accessories, money, and even appearances on cooking shows are just part of what you can win.

If you are into it, here are a bunch of contests worthy of your time and effort:

1) Hellmann's Mayo

The smallest contest of the bunch.

Bobby Flay reveals recipes and tips. Play the Real of Wheel. Spin a wheel for excellent cooks' accessories and a gas grill. Get yourself a coupon.

2) Rudi's Organic Bakery and Applegate Farms

Rock the Block. Loads of exciting things are happening at the Bush's company. Bush Brothers & Company has teamed up with BBQ Expert Chef Adam Perry Lang (from NY's own Daisy May's BBQ USA Restaurant and his new cookbook BBQ 25: The World's Most Flavorful Recipes − Now Made Foolproof (Harper Studio, ©2010)) offers some bold recipes, tips and products to help you impress your family and guests at all your holiday cookouts.

4) McCormick

McCormick is asking people to “give your friends some flavor” in honor of their new Recipe Inspirations, a collection of top recipes from McCormick, complete with a collectible recipe card. This is a facebook application

The best part is that by giving friends some flavor, you are entered for a chance to win a trip to New York City to see a national cooking show or one of nine great weekly prizes. The more recipe cards you create the more chances you have to win prizes. PLUS, the first 6,000 users receive a free Recipe Inspirations card!

5) Morey's Seafood

Remember that amazing Wild Salmon on Crisp Bread recipe from one our Long Island Grocery pages? Well, that was made with Morey's wild salmon purchased from Costco!

Morey’s wants you to be part of their product development team. What new ideas and recipes are in your mind using their products? Just think – “your face” right there on the Morey’s web site – not to mention also getting free Morey’s products and $2000 as the first place winner. Free product and $500 each for the 2nd and 3rd place finishers as well.

Who could better tell them what the next great recipe or product idea is going to be than YOU?
