Grit City brings a light to rainy Tacoma

Grit City brings a light to rainy Tacoma. With seating for 150 people, free parking, and a full food and drink menu, weekend entertainment has never been so easy. The comedy club is co-owned by a veteran comedian who originated in Tacoma, so you know you’ll be getting plenty of laughs. Grit City has partnered with Night Out Tacoma, Miller Studio, Brown Paper Tickets, and Malarkey’s. Grit City also works with non-profit organizations such as Changing Rein by holding raffles and donating portions of ticket profits.

Drop by on Monday nights for open mic night with free admission. Year-round, doors are open on Friday and Saturday nights. Though the club is currently only for patrons 21 and older, there is a possibility of future availability for patrons between the ages of 18 and 21. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.brownpapertickets.com. Parties or large groups are advised to call ahead if they plan on buying at the door. Tickets are generally $15, excluding special events, and Grit City does not require a minimum purchase. Discounts are available for those who are active in the military ($3 off regular admission for general events).

Find entertainment before or after the show at Malarkey’s, which features a jukebox, 21 pool tables, and plenty of TVs featuring the sports games you don’t want to miss. Or, grab a bite to eat from Grit City’s menu which includes both appetizers and entrees as well as a full drink menu. Doors open one hour before the show begins.
