It's been one of the longest waits for fans of fairy tales and characters like Monroe the Blutbad and Captain Renard, the half Hexenbiest/half Royal that appear each week on NBC's supernatural television show "Grimm." Since the most recent episode aired in November 2012, fans have been patiently waiting for the Portland-based cop drama to return for the rest of its second season. That wait is almost over; the season resumes when "Grimm" returns to the regular NBC Friday night line-up on March 8 at 9 p.m.
While fans anxiously pass the time until that date, they can visit Grimm.wikia.com and vote in the first-ever awards contest devoted entirely to the Wesen, Grimm and human world that secretly resides in Portland, Oregon. Along with categories like Best Wesen, Best Cliffhanger and Best Writer, fans can vote for their favorite antagonist, best looking actor or actress and favorite character. Although the awards were first listed in early January, there hasn't been much activity on the wiki site dedicated to the show lately. There has not been a final voting day announced yet, but one would assume it will be in the near future.
Until the announcement that voting in the Grimmy Awards has ended, there is still time left to decide if you think the Best Antagonist is Captain Renard, Adalind Schade or another wicked Wesen. Do you think the Best Character is Grimm Nick Burkhardt, Eisbiber Bud Wurstner or wise-cracking Sgt. Wu? And don't forget the Best Writer category. Without the writers the actors and actresses would have nothing to do and say.
One vote per person per category is allowed and once the vote is cast, there is no undoing it, so vote wisely. When voting closes and the winners are announced, the Grimm Examiner will be there to share the identity of the winners in each category.
