For fans of NBC's "Grimm," Fri., Oct. 25 was an important night to be in front of the TV. The third season premiered in all its creepy glory with Adalind's dreams coming true and Nick on a rampage through Portland that no one seems able to stop. The "Ungrateful Dead" episode brought in 6.1 million viewers; a great number of those stayed tuned in to NBC for "Dracula" which premiered immediately after "Grimm."
As everyone who watches the supernatural drama set in Portland, Oregon knows, ever since Nick took Adalind's powers from her, she has been on a mission to destroy Nick and regain her Hexenbiest abilities. It appears she will soon be able to wreak havoc once again as she went through a series of rituals led by Stefania Vaduva Popescu and her henchmen. With the beating heart of Frau Pech (and her hands, feet and eyes) Adalind was led to a field of poppies where she was required to bury the body parts. The spirit of the slain Hexenbiest then rose from the soil and entered Adalind. Woe to those who she seeks revenge on!
Nick was able to escape from Baron Samedi in the woods outside of Portland, leaving the Cracher-Mortel dead in a plane crash. Nick then went on a rampage in a bar, punching, kicking and removing anyone who got in his way. Although Captain Renard, Hank, Rosalee, Monroe and Juliette were able to get to Shirley's Tippy Canoe and see the damage for themselves, Nick had already left. Hank and Monroe, with his Blutbaden tracking skills, set off into the woods to find him.
Of course, it wouldn't be the first episode of the season without a cliffhanger. Nick was still on the loose as the episode faded to black and Adalind was left in the field of poppies. The next episode, "PTZD," airs on NBC on Fri., Nov. 1.
