'Grimm's' Bitsie Tulloch and Sasha Roiz preview the midseason return

"Grimm" returns with new episodes this week, and on Wednesday, March 6, we joined a conference call with series stars Bitsie Tulloch and Sasha Roiz about what's coming up in "Face Off," which Roiz said has "something for every character," and beyond.

"Face Off" As the title alludes to, there is a confrontation in this week's "Grimm" between Nick and Renard, which Roiz admitted to reporters he was surprised happened as soon it did. "I thought it could even be dragged out until the end of the season," he said. "But I'm really glad that it's happened. I’m really glad that we had a chance to finally confront each other because I think it’s something the fans had been waiting for a long time." And as for the impact what's going on with Renard and Juliette has on Nick, Roiz teased, "There's going to be a lot of fallout and that's going to occupy the remainder of this season to see what will transpire and how pieces will fall and where they fall."

Juliette/Renard's uncontrollable lust. The winter return also sees Juliette and Renard's obsession elevated to a whole new level, which Tulloch called "a great way to sort of deal with what's going on between the two of them and also to highlight how little control they have over it, that this is not some slow burning love…they can't control the lust." Roiz added that it was "almost like "Grimm After Dark," a little racier version," calling it "a good payoff after this long hiatus."

More for Juliette. "What goes on with Juliette gets much worse before it gets better," Tulloch teased. "They're just sort of starting to lay out what’s going to happen the rest of Season 2." That includes an upcoming stunt: "Without teasing too much, I had a scene recently where I did my own stunts and I had to be rigged to something so that I wouldn’t fall off. And I’m supposed to kind of go to the edge." Also coming up is "a lot of really, really intense emotional stuff…just really heavy and pretty serious" for Juliette.

Renard's past. There's plenty to look forward to about Renard besides what's going on with Juliette, as Roiz also promised "more backstory" and "a lot more reveals about where he comes from and how he came to be."

"Grimm" season 2 airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on NBC. What are you hoping to see in the rest of the season?
