So now that it's cold outside you're probably not using the grill as much. This grilled pizza recipe can be made in the oven just by using a pizza stone.

Turn your oven on as hot as it goes, making sure the pizza stone heats up with the oven. Just follw the directions below and you'll have pizza with a crispy crust in no time!

Grilled Pizza


1 cup warm water

1 teaspoon honey

1 package of dry yeast

1¼ cup whole wheat flour

1¼ cup high gluten or all purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon dried oregano


Combine water, honey and yeast. Let stand until foaming.

Add to flour mixture, mix well.

Knead until smooth, about 10 minutes.

Form dough into a ball, brush oil over dough and cover. Put in a warm place and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.

Punch dough down, let rest 10 minutes.

Roll dough out about 1/4 inch thick. Brush with olive oil and grill.

Top pizza with your favorite ingredients. I like tomato, basil and mozzarella.

Turn grill off and cover until cheese is melted.
