Grilled cheese sandwich with Brie, rosemary, and berries

I based this very mature variation for a grilled cheese sandwich recipe on a baked Brie appetizer I encountered a while back.  Unlike that long process which involved puff pastry, all you need to make this is a few ingredients and a bit of patience to snip or chop the rosemary.

Rosemary is an evergreen herb that grows almost everywhere (including Daytona Beach) and can be used year round.  It is originally from the Mediterranean region and dates all the way back to 500 BC when it was used medicinally by the Greeks and Romans.

This grilled cheese sandwich recipe with Brie, rosemary, and berries is a fabulous combination of sweet and savory flavors and your children most likely won't like it.  So make it for yourself and enjoy.  You will find yourself keeping Brie on hand just so you can fry one of these up.

The ingredients are as follows:

  • Brie cheese
  • Fresh rosemary snipped or chopped
  • Bread
  • Blackberries, raspberries, or fruit jam in those flavors if you don't have fresh
  • Butter
