"Grey's Anatomy" will have some major drama when the series returns to ABC, and now fans are being given new inside scoop on what is coming next for the series. On Tuesday, Jan. 29, TV Line shared new spoilers, and fans can expect to see Jo involved in some big drama with another intern.
At the end of the mid-season finale, Shane made a costly mistake in the operating room, and Alex's father was on the table. It has being teased that Alex's dad will survive at least long enough for some more drama to happen at the hospital, but Jo will not be happy at all with Shane. Camilla Luddington teased the following to TV Line:
In the first episode back, which picks up right after the wedding, you see Jo being kind of a rock for Alex because he’s furious about what Shane has done to his dad. He’s distraught by it. And she’s there for him. And she’s also ready to go [toe-to-toe] with Shane. She hates Shane. She’s not for him staying at the hospital. So you see her get closer to Alex through that.
Shane has been at the center of a lot of the drama this season. He blames himself for Heather's death, and that has pushed him closer and closer to the edge. That all came to a head during the mid-season finale. When the show returns, it has already been teased that Alex's mother will arrive on scene as well. April Kepner isn't the only character with major drama when this series returns next month.
As for the series, TV Line also teased that fans should see more of the original cast sign new contracts by the end of February. What do you think? Should Shane be kicked from the program? "Grey's Anatomy" will return to ABC on Feb. 27.
