Thursday night “Grey's Anatomy” airs episode 200 of the series, and it is titled “Puttin' on the Ritz.” TVLine dished a few spoilers on Oct. 10, and it seems this episode will mostly center around fun.
Kevin McKidd, who plays Owen, says that “Puttin' on the Ritz” is a “warm, sort of uplifting and upbeat episode.” He says it definitely represents that this is the 200th episode of the series. Camilla Luddington, who plays Jo, teased that the episode is “tragically sparkly,” while April portrayer Sara Drew called it “beautifully disastrous.”
The show will feature a fundraising gala, but it doesn't go off without a hitch. Derek and Meredith are clearly going a bit stir-crazy with their baby Bailey leave. Everybody gets a bit competitive with trying to see who can raise the most money, and there is some kind of key moment with Cristina. Sandra Oh teases that for Dr. Yang “something comes up that makes her realize that there are consequences to her decisions.”
On a more serious note, viewers will see Alex Karev's father, and there's some mystery surrounding this. There will be time with Jo and Alex together, but it seems there will be a lot of miscommunication between them when it comes to the gala. This issue between them apparently will come to a head in this episode.
There will be some comedic moments for Arizona, and “April bonds with an unlikely cast member, in a closet.” Dr. Webber is still recovering while Dr. Bailey holds down the fort with the patients and interns.
Shonda Rhimes has promised that season 10 will have a lot of fun, light-hearted moments, and it seems that is very much the case with episode 200, “Puttin' on the Ritz.” Tune in to this big episode of “Grey's Anatomy” on Oct. 10 to see all of the promises of fun, sparkles and comedy fulfilled.
