It looks Grey’s Anatomy’s” favorite young doctor, Jackson Avery is going to figure prominently in the next few episodes. Well, that’s what the actor who plays him, Jesse Williams, had to say when he spoke with TV Line on Feb. 26.
Since Jackson has been more or less put in charge of things, there will be some significant changes and some significant turmoil for him to face. From the beginning, Jackson has wanted to stand apart from his family legacy and the famous name he bears. He has tried to prove himself in his own right and to be taken seriously as a doctor based on his own merit.
The position he was given on the board of Seattle Grace-Mercy West is a direct result of his ties to his family and its legacy. This will no doubt create some of that inner turmoil because he didn’t “earn” the position. Still he will have to figure out how to cope with his new responsibilities and make it work.
Williams also hinted that things between Jackson and soul mate April Kepner are going to change. He says something is going to have to happen between the two of them.
“I don’t know about a resolution, but [those] two ships are going to try to meet at some point by the end of the season,. Williams said.
Could we be looking forward to a Jackson/April reunion? Let’s hope so.
“Grey’s Anatomy” airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
