"Grey's Anatomy" will air an all-new episode tomorrow night on Channel 15 in Tempe. On Wednesday, Jan. 30, Spoiler TV shared two sneak peeks for this week's episode. The hospital is in danger of being shut down as a result of the lawsuit. However, the staff will not let that happen without a fight. Shonda Rhimes revealed the following details for episode 9.14 to TV Guide:
"It's really about the idea that they're trying to rebrand the hospital in a certain way. So they're reluctantly fighting to be the face of the hospital, or the cover boy for the hospital, in a way that's very funny and very challenging because you begin to realize how much trouble they really are in at the hospital, so you're watching things fall apart from that perspective."
She also revealed that the episode will be very Alex-centric. Alex has more than his career on his mind though. Things have been building between him and Jo, who is one of the new interns at the hospital. Shonda Rhimes teased the following about the pair to TV Line:
"I don’t know that you will see one of them cross the line. I’ve been watching this thing build. And I feel like we want the build to feel natural and real and not to have it go too fast. And not to feel engineered. I’m just watching their chemistry and enjoying them together. Right now, we’re just leaning into it and seeing where it goes."
As for the sneak peeks for the next episode, the first sneak peek shows Cristina and her intern working on a patient, but they soon figure out they cannot give him blood because of religious reason. Cristina talks to the parents of the man, but they will not budge. This forces one of the interns to take matters into her own hands. The second sneak peek shows Meredith, and she is worried something is wrong with her baby. Bailey quickly tries to check on things, but the scene cuts at that point.
