There have been big changes at Seattle Grace-Mercy West in recent episodes. Cahill shut down the hospital emergency room in an effort to cut back costs. One episode even saw the staff trying to save a patient in the closed emergency room without Cahill and Owen finding out. That didn't work. According to Spoilers Guide, fans will see the emergency room back in use at the hospital in episode 19 this season. A couple will be treated at the hospital after a trauma.
The cast of the series is making news away from the set as well. On Sunday, ABC 7 reported that Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh took part in the Kaiser Permanente Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon. The event was held to benefit CureMito. The mitochondrial disease was the focus an episode of the series, and Wilson's daughter suffers from the disease. Oh came out to support her cast mate because she has known Wilson's daughter since she was 10 years old.
