There's new management at Seattle Grace in "Grey's Anatomy" season 9, and in episode 17, "Transplant Wasteland," for which ABC released promotional photos on Wednesday, Feb. 27, that could mean more drama.
In this "Grey's Anatomy" episode, there's going to be discord and chaos at Seattle Grace now that it's under new management (Catherine Avery stepped in with the Harper Avery Foundation to save the financially troubled hospital from Pegasus' clutches and appointed Jackson to the board in the last episode), leading to one physician questioning his future at the hospital. Meanwhile, it's going to be up to the doctors and interns to make sure several transplant surgeries that need to be done at once are successful, but of course there will be challenges with each one.
The "Transplant Wasteland" photos, which you can check out in the slideshow at the top of this article, hint that it could be Owen (Kevin McKidd) who could feel like this future at the hospital is uncertain, based on the photos of Derek (Patrick Dempsey) with him and Jackson (Jesse Williams) in Seattle Grace and Derek visiting him at the trailer. Owen's already dealing with the guilt over putting the doctors on the plane in the first place, and he can't be feeling too good about the fact that he couldn't do anything to save the hospital himself. He may have some serious thinking to do about his future with the changes coming.
