With the departure of “Grey’s Anatomy’s’” Sandra Oh at the end of season 10, it looks as if the show runners may be bringing in some new blood. On Feb. 3, Wetpaint released news of the new character. Though Cristina Yang is irreplaceable, new faces are always welcome.
Dr. Oliver Lebackes is a 40-something doctor who according to the description will be "funny, caring, and maybe just a little too confident with his work." Overall he is described as being a real sweetie. Could he a new potential love interest for one of existing docs?
There is no info on who is being cast for the role but we do know he is expected in episode 18. Sources say he will be around "for a little while at least."
We also learned last month that “Greek” star Paul James will be joining the cast in a recurring role as a research assistant.
Season 10 of “Grey’s Anatomy” resumes on Thursday, Feb. 27 on ABC.
