‘Grey’s Anatomy' star Ellen Pompeo ( Dr. Meredith Grey) stopped by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' last night and had an interesting chat about hurting her foot and the rumor that she has 12 toes.
Kimmel asked the actress how she hurt her foot and she said, ‘Two glasses of wine and high heels…’ Kimmel asked if she felt it when it happened and she said, ‘No. But I did the next morning.’
Kimmel discussed her subsequent visit to the doctor. Pompeo said, ‘They got very nervous…It’s okay as long as there are no needles or anything sharp. But the x-ray was okay. They wanna hide you. They don’t want everyone to see you because they get all frenzied.’
Kimmel stayed focused on Pompeo’s feet and asked, ‘Are you aware there’s a rumor that you have 6 toes on each foot?'
He pulled out a tabloid photo and the camera zoomed in on her toes. Pompeo was shocked. ‘Wait a second – they added…it really looks like a have 6 toes. Look at that. That is crazy.’
She continued to tell Kimmel that her sister alerted her (from Greece) about the story going around in British tabloids. Pompeo said her sister thought it would be funny to comment online, so she wrote, ‘I know Ellen personally and she only has 6 toes on 1 foot.’ Pompeo never thought the story would hit the States, and 48 hours later she got an email.
Kimmel asked her to remove her shoes to settle the rumor. Pompeo joked maybe later she would do it for him in private.
