"Grey's Anatomy" is currently on hiatus on ABC, but fans are still being given new inside scoop on what is next on the series. On Tuesday, Jan. 21, both TV Guide and TV Line shared new details about what is next for Jo and Alex, who are played by Camilla Luddington and Justin Chambers.
Alex and Jo have had some major issues with their relationship this season, but the issues are not caused by them. Outside forces have had their impact on the couple, and that will continue. According to TV Guide, fans will see the arrival of Alex's mother during the mid-season premiere. She will come to the hospital, and she will not be happy about the return of her ex.
Jimmy was last seen on the hospital operating table, and his life was hanging in the balance when the mid-season finale ended. TV Guide also hinted that her arrival means Jimmy will live for a bit. At least, he will live long enough to see his ex-wife.
As for Jo, she will find a baby, and this will pick at her abandonment issues. Luddington teased the following about what is next for Jo to TV Line:
Stephanie and Jo are out in the back of the hospital by the dumpsters, which is the new cool intern hangout, and Stephanie accidentally kicks a box, and there’s a baby in it, and so we find this dumpster baby, which, of course, is very difficult for Jo because she has abandonment issues. And she is not on the case, and she really wants to be working on it.
The actress did not reveal exactly which episode this will happen during, but fans will see it happen on an upcoming episode this season. What do you think? How long before Alex and Jo catch a break?
"Grey's Anatomy" will continue to air on ABC on Thursday nights.
