‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Episode 4: April and Avery and all the sex

Last week, Avery and April finally gave in to the lust and in episode 4 of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “I Saw Her Standing There,” they take the sex to another level, as do a few other people. Episode 4 aired Thursday, October 25 at 8:00 p.m.

The storyline featuring April Kepner (Sarah Drew) and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) begins with the couple in the on-call room in throws of making love with each of them swearing this is the last time. When they’re done, he says he’s going for coffee; she’s going to go pray.

Meanwhile, Dr. Weber (James Pickens, Jr.) has donned a tie for the visit he initiated from Dr. Catherine Avery (Debbie Allen), Jackson’s mom. She and Weber will be performing surgery on a man unable to have sex because of testicles the size of basketballs.

Catherine talks to April, who is scheduled to assist with the scrotal surgery, about her sex life. Feeling April is too uptight, Catherine wants to set her up with someone so she can ‘get laid.’ Knowing Catherine has no idea that April and Jackson are having wild and frequent sex, April is mortified, particularly when Catherine shares that she is having the best sex of her life.

When Jackson sees the name “Avery” on the surgical schedule, he asks Weber about it and learns his mother is in town. Weber, feeling awkward, invites him to participate in the “big” surgery.

Jackson and April meet in the on-call room again, swearing this will be the last time. As they undress, April tells Avery how uncomfortable she is with his mother prying into her sex life and telling April about hers. It’s Avery’s turn to be mortified when he realizes that his mom is again sleeping with Weber.

Later, when Avery and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) come to peer at the patient with the enlarged scrotum, April teases them about what it must be like to have this particular problem and watches as they both squirm uncomfortably. Within earshot of Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), April mentions that Jackson’s mom keeps asking why April looks so tired. Having discovered last week that the two were sleeping together, Meredith smirks and says, ‘Well, why are you so tired?’

Feeling uncomfortable being in the same OR with Jackson and his mom, April trades with Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson). Bailey is just giddy about getting to do an unusual surgery and keeps making off-color jokes.

Following the surgery, Jackson asks to speak to Weber, man to man. Jackson warns him that if he hurts his mom, he will hurt Weber. Weber says he wouldn’t hurt her, he likes her. Jackson says that he hates that Weber likes her and Weber replies, ‘Man to man, you’re just gonna have to deal with it.’

The shows wraps up with April and Jackson heading off to have sex again. The couple certainly seems to have found their way past the awkward stage. Will their relationship blossom into something more meaningful? Will Weber and Mrs. Avery deepen their relationship even though Weber is still married? Tune in next week to find out what happens on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
