‘Grey's Anatomy’ cast announcement: Sarah Chalke back in scrubs?

According to TV Line on Jan. 25, Sarah Chalke the former “Scrubs” actress is set to appear on Greys Anatomy. Whether or not she will actually be back in scrubs is not yet known.

Seeing as her role is set to last for only one episode, it’s more likely that Chalke will be playing a patient rather than a doctor. Most fans won’t care - Chalke is great in or out of scrubs.

The Canadian-American actress became known to American audiences as the “second Becky” on “Roseanne.” She played the part intermittently over the course of the series whenever Lecy Goranson left the show.

Later, Chalke took on the role of Dr. Elliot Reid in the NBC comedy series “Scrubs.” Chalke was a main cast member there for the first eight seasons and then returned in recurring guest appearances in the remaining seasons. She has had numerous guest appearances on other shows and made several films.

The episode in which Chalke appears on “Grey’s Anatomy” is slated to air in the spring. At that time, she will also be starring in her own comedy series on ABC, “How to Live with Your Parents,” which premieres Wednesday, April 3.
