The cast of Marriage Bootcamp has been announced and starring on the upcoming reality series will be Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley, Trista and Ryan Sutter, Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Roger Mathews, Tanisha Thomas and Clive Muir, and Traci Braxton and Kevin Surratt.
On the show, each pair will undergo intense counseling with a team of marriage counselors in attempt to get their marriage on track, or for some, get where they need to be in order to be ready to tie the knot.
On Thursday, one of the show's counselors, Jim Carroll, spoke with In Touch Weekly, revealing a few of the couples' lingering issues.
"Traci and Kevin have huge hurdles to overcome," Jim tells the magazine. "They’ve made every mistake you can make, and infidelity would be poisonous to a marriage."
When someone cheats, it's hard to get any relationship back on track, and in most cases, nearly impossible. This relationship is going to take some serious work, but hopefully, with the help of the Marriage Bootcamp team, they can overcome their downfalls.
As for Trista and Ryan Sutter, who met and fell in love on the first season of The Bachelorette, are "not perfect," according to Jim, "and they would be the first to admit it."
Gretchen and Slade have been together for years, but unfortunately, they have yet to tie the knot. The problem? Gretchen doesn't seem to be ready -- at least emotionally. "My first marriage ended in divorce, and then my second fiancé passed away, so I kind of felt jinxed," she admits.
Marriage Bootcamp is set to premiere on WEtv in early 2014.
