While Gretchen Rossi seems to no longer have the time to watch "The Real Housewives of Orange County," she doesn't hesitate to promote it when it brings her up. On Saturday, May 10, Gretchen tweeted a link to an article in which it's reported that she will be mentioned in the episode to be aired on Monday, May 12.
"I didn't even know this had been said #haventwatched," she tweeted, along with a link to the article. The article reports that on Monday night's episode, viewers will see one of the returning housewives make fun of new housewife Lizzie Rovsek by nicknaming her "Gre-Lexis." Apparently, the name was made up by one of the show's producers and provided to the housewife to say. Lizzie is called that because she has "big hair like Gretchen and big lips like Alexis."
So while Gretchen no longer watches the show, or at least claims that she doesn't, she's more than happy to continue to promote the show to her more than 633,000 Twitter followers when it involves her in some way. The "Gre-Lexis" incident will make it the second time that Gretchen has been mentioned on the show despite no longer being on it.
On the ninth season's premiere episode, Tamra Barney and Heather Dubrow briefly talked about Gretchen when Tamra asked Heather if she still keeps in touch with Gretchen. Heather said that while she doesn't really, Terry saw her recently. Not surprisingly, Tamra used the occasion to slam Gretchen, claiming that she never did receive a wedding gift, or even a card, from Gretchen and saying that Gretchen is now dead to her.
Tamra Barney and Gretchen Rossi are currently embroiled in a feud that seems to be nastier than anything they got into when both were still on "The Real Housewives of Orange County." After Gretchen was quoted by a magazine as saying that Tamra, who is in a custody battle with her ex-husband, cares more about the show than her kids, Tamra blasted her on Facebook as "a nasty b***h" who will do anything to stay relevant.
