Gretchen Rossi made a name for herself as a part of the cast for “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” Rossi joined the “The Real Housewives of Orange County” cast for the show's fourth season, and remained in the spotlight until she was reportedly fired after the eighth season wrapped. Now according to a Facebook status posted by Gretchen Rossi on Wednesday, she is set to be featured on the WE-TV show “Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars” beginning in May.
In her post, Rossi said she is excited for new things to come, and added that she loves the co-star who are set to appear on “Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars” alongside Rossi and her fiance, Slade Smiley. Her co-stars reportedly include Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Roger Matthews, Trista and Ryan Sutter from the “The Bachelorette,” along with two other reality couples.
In the last 15 years reality television has seemingly taken over mainstream television. Through all of its popularity there is one sad commonality that has surfaced; married couples who are featured on the shows rarely stay married. This is referred to as the “the reality TV divorce curse,” and is perhaps exactly what “Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars” is intended to prevent.
There have been some very well-known couples fall victim to the “the reality TV divorce curse.” These include Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Linda and Hulk Hogan, and Kate and Jon Gosselin. Even a number of other cast members from Bravo's “The Real Housewives” series have succumbed to this curse. They include Camille and Kelsey Grammer, Vicki and Donn Gunvalson, Tamra and Simon Barney, and NeNe and Gregg Leakes; although NeNe and Gregg later remarried.
You can watch the five reality stars and their partners work on their relationships while learning to be better partners starting May 30 at p.m. on WE-TV.
